This Code sets out the standards Adarna Inc. holds itself to — as a company building a health product, as an employer, and as a business partner. It applies to our directors, employees, interns, contractors and anyone acting on our behalf.
A code is only worth the behaviour behind it, so this one is written as a set of commitments we intend to be held to rather than as a statement of good intentions.
1. Honesty About Our Product
We do not overstate what Aura Clarus does. We describe it as a general wellness product because that is what it is, we do not imply medical capability we have not earned, and we do not claim a certification we do not hold. If a metric is an estimate, we say so. In a category full of overstatement, our advantage is that we can be believed.
2. Integrity With Health Data
We treat the health data entrusted to us as if it were our own. We collect the minimum we need, we do not sell it, we do not use it to build profiles for advertising, and we design so that the fewest possible systems and people can reach it. A privacy shortcut is treated as a defect, not a trade-off.
3. Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption
We do not offer, give, solicit or accept bribes, kickbacks or improper payments, directly or through a third party, to anyone including public officials. Facilitation payments are not permitted. Modest, transparent hospitality is acceptable; anything that could reasonably look like an attempt to buy influence is not.
We comply with the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and, where applicable to our dealings, equivalent laws in other jurisdictions.
4. Conflicts of Interest
Disclose any personal, financial or family interest that could conflict with your work here — an outside role, a holding in a supplier or competitor, or a relationship with someone we do business with. Disclosure is not an accusation; an undisclosed conflict is the problem, not the conflict itself.
5. Confidentiality and Company Property
Protect confidential information — technical designs, source code, commercial terms, unreleased plans and anything shared with us in confidence by a partner. This obligation continues after your engagement ends. Company equipment and accounts are for company work.
6. Fair Dealing
We compete on the merits of our product. We do not misrepresent competitors, we do not acquire confidential information improperly, and we do not make claims about others we cannot substantiate. We pay suppliers what we agreed, when we agreed.
7. Respect at Work
We expect everyone to be treated with dignity. Harassment, bullying and discrimination are dealt with under our Anti-Harassment Policy. Health and safety at work, including our approach to immunisation, is covered by our Vaccination Policy.
8. Accurate Records
Our books, records, invoices, test results and regulatory submissions must be accurate and complete. Nobody may falsify a record, and nobody will ever be asked to. If you are asked to, that instruction is itself a breach of this Code and should be reported.
9. Speaking Up and Whistleblower Protection
If you see something that breaches this Code, the law, or our other policies, report it to the founders at contact@adarna.us. Reports may be made confidentially, and anonymously if you prefer, though a named report is usually easier to investigate properly.
No one will be penalised for raising a concern in good faith — not in their role, their pay, their progression, or how they are treated day to day. Retaliation against someone who speaks up is itself a serious breach of this Code. This protection applies even if the concern turns out to be mistaken.
10. Consequences of Breach
Breaches are handled proportionately, from a conversation through to termination of employment or engagement, and referral to the authorities where the law requires. Directors and founders are held to this Code on the same terms as everyone else.
11. Review
This Code is reviewed at least annually and whenever our circumstances change materially. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Concerns about the Code itself are welcome at the address above.
